About Me

Hey there! I'm Melissa, a senior undergraduate at Florida State University, and I'm a bona fide couch potato.

The peak of my athletic career was seventh grade when I was in the school's varsity softball team (only because there was no junior varsity).  In those days, my wonderful coach pushed me and the team to our physical limits, and by the end of the season I could run the mile under seven minutes.

Then I moved schools and stopped doing anything athletic.

Since coming to college, I have had a terrible time pushing myself to workout.  I always have some excuse or another: I have too much homework, I have work later and I shouldn't be sore, I just took a shower, I'm tired... what have you.  On any given day, there is no feasible chance of spontaneously going to the gym. I hate the idea of running, treadmills, sitting on seats that people have profusely sweated on, and wearing tennis shoes.

And so, with the help of my trusty Google Calendar, I have decided to try every single group exercise that the FSU campusrec has to offer.  Each post will include a preliminary speculation of the exercise in question, an "after" portion, possibly an interview with the instructor, and a difficulty rating.

This is going to hurt.
